HI GUYS!!!

Good news! Josué got baptized! Bad news.. I don´t have my camera with me to send pictures. The other guy who was going to get baptized pushed back his date so his dad could come and baptize him.  He is out of town until next week.

This week was pretty fun! I think I already told you about what I did for Christmas and Christmas eve, since then it finally got a little bit colder here and we got a chance to teach the wayward sons of a family that is investigating the church. They didn't get to church Sunday because the money they needed for the taxi hadn't gotten there yet, and all the other people that we've been teaching were all out of town.

Not much else to report, but I love you guys, and I´m excited to start this stretch of my mission and give it my all!

FOUR DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!!!
Working hard and having some success!! Looks like we´re going to have two baptisms this week, with several more in the works.
Elder Aguirre has been a bit of a test on my patience. He just likes to push my buttons a little bit, and if I ever tell him something directly he walks off and says he just avoids people when they get angry. Apparently that means I can't object to anything he says or thinks haha. I feel like I´ll learn a lot while I´m with him, although it won´t exactly be paradise. He´s still a good guy, just a little unfocused and very new in the mission. The offices have been a little bit crazy but things are getting worked out, slowly but surely. Good to know that Kate got home ok!
I don´t want to say too much either, because we get to talk this week, but we had some really great conferences this week so that´s been fun! President Greer talked to us  about being the 4th missionary, its a talk that a mission president gave about 13 years ago that is really, really awesome. It´s helped me see the progress I've been able to make as a missionary, and understand how some of the other missionaries that I work with feel.
Love you guys so much! See you on Friday!

Hey Guys!

Sorry I keep forgetting to mention that I had to take money out! That was the unfortunate result of not having a mission card and having to make a few expenses for the mission. The card is back now and now I reimbursed myself. Not really sure how to return that money to the bank though..

This week went really well! We worked a ton and found several people, although it was difficult because they couldn't go to church because of the dedication of the Tijuana Temple, but we got a few of them to go to some activities. We taught a guy who decided to change houses because we met him with his friend here in our ward, but he lives in another ward. He said, well, I don´t have a contract where I´m living and I´d rather go to church and get baptized here with the people I've met, so I'm going to move.

We also found an inactive sister and her mom who want to start going to church and she has a cool son who isn't a member who says that God already answered him and told him to get baptized in the Mormon church. We also got a reference the other day from a Doctor who is a member in another ward, and he brought us with someone he met through work who wants to get baptized, and her son and her mother also accepted a baptismal date! Miracles are happening out here!

I've also had the chance to start really working with the missionaries in my district, helping them to become better. It´s hard when they don´t answer my calls sometimes! But I´m enjoying the work. Its hard to find time to plan, but that's ok! Got to run, sorry, I´ll have to send some pictures next week.

LOVE YOU GUYS!!

[Note: items in blue brackets have been added for clarification]

Hey Guys!

Things here are good! Elder Aguirre is adjusting to being a little more obedient, and we´re getting a long pretty well. My Christmas package came, but I haven´t investigated very thoroughly because all of the gifts are half opened and I'm going for at least a semblance of a surprise! While we were in divisions my companions talked to Erik [see earlier posts], but they couldn't go to church. Griselda has been out of town, but there's a really good sister who lives nearby who has been watching out for her. They aren't really progressing, so we've had to go look for other people that are more prepared.

You´ll have to remind me like thirty times about the talk [he's been asked to prepare for a sacrament meeting], but I´ll start thinking. That´s a big topic. Its played a huge role here in the mission. I´ll be sure to take some time. And keep applying it.

Sounds like Dads office is like the mission! Slowly but surely it´s growing again. there are 80 missionaries less than there were when I got here... guess that just means there´s more work to do! Glad to know the cats are doing okay.

Next Thanksgiving, at least, I´m hoping a few of us will be there to visit. I´m also super excited to talk to you guys in TWO WEEKS (Y CACHO).

I´m really trying to step things up, as we´re coming up on the third trimester of my mission, and I've got LOTS TO DO!! I just want to be able to get home knowing I gave everything to the Lord, and changed because of it. I don´t want to come home the same. What a waste.

Elder Castañeda´s farewell with the family! The guy in glasses who isn't me is getting ready to get baptized, we just need to get him reading a little bit more!

And that was his birthday haha!
Loving the mission, trying to be better!

Love you all,

Elder Wadman

SATURDAY AGAIN!! WHAT MADNESS!

Saturday, November 29, 2015

Sorry my Companion has to work Monday to put together some stuff with the totals for the month for the leadership conference, so I have to write today. The week went pretty well, Elder Castañeda is teaching his replacement, Elder Aguirre, and he will leave next week. I´ll likely be with Elder Aguirre for another three changes. He´s just got here from.. ALAMO. That tiny little city has seen almost all of my companions haha! He seems alright, although he´s not much for getting up in the morning. He has the same time in the mission as Elder Hernandez, who I was training like 4 months ago. The good news is if there are problems I have president on my side!!

And here´s the zone for the change!!!
