Hi guys!!!

I'm going to have to send the photos next week, but I'm TRAINING!!! Yayyy!!!!

I went to Xalapa early yesterday, it was a 6 hour bus ride so we left at 4 am, and picked up a brand new missionary! His name is Elder Hernandez and he's from Hidalgo. He's freaking out because it's really hot here, but outside of that he's doing fine. I'm super excited for the opportunity to work with him, and I know that as I strive to grow and serve him the Lord will help us to find the success we've been hoping for. Sounds like there's a few problems and a few exciting moments [referring to his parent's week] and that's sort of how things are going here too. I'm really ready to raise the standard for myself, put more trust in the Lord, and do all I can to be more obedient to his instructions. I guess we'll see what happens this week! We've got an appointment in about an hour and I'm realizing that my companion doesn't know what to do... so I need to do it.. uhh I think I'll have to start teaching him on the walk there.

Wishing you all the best,

Elder Wadman

Dumbledore made me feel better... I like the quote. ["It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."]

It was an interesting week.  I learned a lot about being animated and excited as a missionary and the need that we have to deliver, and not just try to deliver. Looks like I have a baptism this coming Sunday, and a bunch of people who have gone to church one or two times but haven't gone again. I'm learning a little bit about how to be more effective as a missionary and how to find the people who are ready to accept this message. Today we had interviews with the mission president. He just told me to be better and keep doing what I'm doing so I guess I'll do that!!! I have some videos from the week but not so many pictures so you'll just have to wait! Repentance is a big deal though. If we take the sacrament without repenting we're literally eating our own condemnation. Working on being a more effective and able missionary.

Sounds like a really fun weekend!

I forgot it was the fourth of July until I had to pay rent on the 5th of July. LOL, my life.

I was wondering the other day if you guys were going to have a gigantic TV in the house when I got home, because I keep going to houses where the people are out of work and their house is in shambles but they have a giant TV. Not that that's a terrible thing, just another way of thinking.

This week we got 2 people to church, but Angel didn't come. It rains a lot in the mornings and he gets a lot of pain when the weather is like that. He could still get baptized whenever he wants to do it, but we haven't gotten there yet.

I was sick for a couple of days this week, and just pushed through and suffered and worked hard anyway and I was so mentally dead and spent as a consequence. I just sat there with my plans and goals at night trying to make my brain work. So I ended up sleeping until 10:30 one morning and then I felt fine.

Not much else to report though.  We found a few people who seem to be really excited about going to church and stuff like that but didn't come through Sunday for the rain or this or that or the other. This week I'm going to get them there!! We're also going to organize the baptism of 3 different people named Gloria this week. One needs to get married, one needs to go to church 2 more times, and one needs to listen to her friends and granddaughter and start preparing herself to make a covenant with the Lord. WOOO LET'S GO!!

Haha, I think one time they taught us the same painting in Elementary school! [referring to a painting Susan made at work] Anyway looks like you guys are having some fun and keeping busy. This week was rough, it was very rainy Sunday and none of our investigators went to church. We'll see what we can get going for this coming week though. Everyone just tells me to not get overly stressed about it. Not much else to report though! Glad to know that things are going well. Just doing what I can out here, trying to get better at it, all that. Hopefully next week I'll have some good news to report!

Also I know it doesn't or shouldn't matter that much, but this is the first month of my mission that we haven't baptized anyone :(. But onward and upward we go, no?

Lots of love,

Elder Wadman
